A gut-wrenching video, showing a leech grow fat as it sucks blood from a man’s hand, has recently surfaced on the internet. Shockingly, the man claims that the bloodsucker is actually his pet, and that he willingly feeds it his own blood!

最近网上流传着一个特别让人心塞的视频，视频里一只水蛭从一个男人的胳膊上吸着血然后变得越来越肥。然而，令人震惊的是，这个男人居然称这条水蛭是他的宠物，他自愿用自己的血喂养它。

The identity of the man is unknown, but the video is believed to have been filmed in Japan. The leech in the footage is so bloated, it?s as big as the man?s forearm. And judging by the bite marks?on his arm, the devoted owner has been feeding the creature his blood for quite some time now.

这位男士的身份至今未明，但是据信视频是拍自日本。视频里的水蛭非常大号，几乎像它主人的前臂一样大。根据这名男子手臂上的咬痕判断，他喂养这条水蛭应该有一段时间了。

According to?a Daily Mail report, leeches grow bigger as they consume more and more blood. Some species might reach up to 16 inches in length. Leeches, being parasites, aren?t exactly ideal pets. They have been used in medicine for several centuries now, but this is probably the first time in history that a human and a leech have bonded over a spot of blood! While the leech appears to be very attached to its owner, I think I still prefer my pet Yorkshire Toy dog.

据《每日邮报》称，水蛭吸得血越多，它长的就越大。某些种类甚至可以长到16英寸(40.64厘米)那么长。水蛭，是一种寄生虫，其实并不是特别理想的宠物，几个世纪一来一直被人们用作药材。这恐怕是有史以来第一次水蛭和人类有了血缘联系。不过，鉴于水蛭超级“粘人”，我宁愿养一只约克郡犬做宠物呢。
