市场消息人士称，该增幅是由于PVC工厂在第二季扭亏盈季前营运率相对较高所致。

同时，VEC表示，1月份日本氯乙烯单体产量为235426公吨，较上月下降4.3%。

Japan's Jan PVC output rises 2% on month amid high operating rates

Japan's PVC production in January rose 2% from a month earlier to 157,147 mt, the Vinyl Environmental Council, or VEC, said in a statement Wednesday.

The increase was due to relatively high operation rates at PVC plants ahead of turnaround season in the second quarter, market sources said.

Meanwhile, Japan's vinyl chloride monomer production in January stood at 235,426 mt in January, down 4.3% from a month earlier, VEC said.
